Sven Dierickx - Shiftleader Production - November 2016

In November 2016, I started as a Process Operator at Life Sciences, where the work was always fascinating and interesting. However, I am an ambitious person by nature who always wants to raise the bar. I also like to be in the foreground and taking the lead. When three vacancies became available as a Shiftleader in 2020, I couldn't pass up my chance to grow.

By following the necessary training courses that JSR offered (shift leader trajectory), I mastered the competences of the job. This was certainly necessary, because a new position always involves trial and error.

Since my start at JSR, the family atmosphere that prevails within our group has not changed, despite the company's rapid growth. This makes it pleasant for everyone in the workplace.

Mathieu Vanden Bulcke - Senior Manager Quality Assurance - 02/05/2014

My first contact with JSR goes back almost 7 years ago.

After an exciting and very respectful selection process, I really appreciated the chance I was offered to give a turn to my career and to join the QA semiconductor department in 2014. What immediately struck me was the good atmosphere and open communication between colleagues and across teams.

At JSR, I also feel that everybody counts and gets the opportunity to learn and grow, to develop soft skills as well as technical skills.

Each day, in my current position, I am stimulated by the variety of activities and worldwide interactions I encounter, within the JSR Group, and with customers and suppliers.

Anja Vander Elst - Senior Manager Production - October 2000

I joined JSR Micro in October 2000, so already quite some years ago, and at that time the company was still at another location and consisted of less than 50 employees.

I started my career at JSR as Environmental Coordinator and Safety Officer. What I will always remember is that JSR Micro selected me during the recruiting despite the fact that I was pregnant of my first son and would be on pregnancy leave 5 months after starting in my new function. This proved to me that this was a company that values his employees in every aspect.

During my career at JSR the company has grown, we moved to another location, expanded the business, employee number increased to +200. Also my career changed first to EHS Manager and in 2017 I got the opportunity to switch to Production Manager Semi.

Throughout all these changes 1 thing remained unchanged, the respect for the employee and being valued for your honest input and work.

And even after more than 20 years working for the same company I can guarantee you that it was never boring, there is always a new challenge ahead.

Kevin Van Horebeek - E&I Engineer - October 2016

JSR Micro is a chemical company engaged in high-level technology. By working here, I can contribute something to the future.

During the first months at JSR, I got to know the company and the various installations. The great thing about JSR Micro is that many different subjects from technology are covered. I am thinking of electricity, compressed air, steam, PLC, process technology, HVAC, and so on.

After having gained a lot of knowledge and experience by performing a variety of tasks such as inspection rounds, locating malfunctions, carrying out repairs, etc., I became interested in further developing myself. I then applied for an internal position as Engineer.

After an internal application procedure, I was given the opportunity to work my way up. My range of tasks has been adjusted so that I can expand my knowledge even further on a daily basis and the challenges have also become greater. Naturally, I receive sufficient support to meet these challenges.

At JSR Micro you get many opportunities. And on top of that, there is a very open company culture, which means that as a young starter you end up in an environment where you can learn a lot from your colleagues.
